Sexual Harassment Prevention and Intervention Training for Faculty and Staff:
Rutgers offers several in-person training resources for faculty and staff to effectively prevent and respond to Sexual Harassment including:

Responding to Interpersonal Violence at Rutgers University
Presented by The Center on Violence Against Women (Rutgers School of Social Work) and University Human Resources
This interactive, trauma-informed workshop provides faculty and staff an overview of how to address interpersonal violence (sexual violence, dating violence, sexual misconduct, and stalking) and understand their role in creating a campus-wide culture of accountability, safety , and respect. Bystander intervention strategies are utilized to provide faculty and staff with the skills to effectively identify and respond to interpersonal violence experienced by colleagues and students, understand Rutgers’ anti-violence policies and procedures, including incident reporting and supportive resources, and utilize trauma-informed action steps to assist impacted colleagues and students. Developed through an intersectional lens, the workshop will also explore how racism, systemic oppression, and resource disparities impact survivor experiences.
This training is funded by a Victim’s of Crime (VOCA) grant from the New Jersey Attorney General’s office, and is part of the ‘Enhancing Victim Services Throughout Rutgers University’ project V-84-18.

Sexual Harassment in the Workplace
Presented by Rutgers Office of Employment Equity
Focused specifically on workplace sexual harassment, this training builds on the mandatory online ‘Workplace Harassment Prevention’ training and is designed to: define discriminatory and sexual harassment, identify what types of conduct constitute harassment, review manager reporting obligations and provide an overview of RU Policy Prohibiting Discrimination & Harassment and Complaint Process.

Title IX Overview Training
Presented by Rutgers Title IX Office
Aimed at increasing faculty and staff capacity to support students, this training provides an in-depth review of Title IX, Rutgers policies, reporting responsibility and procedures, supporting students after disclosures, a detailed overview of what happens after a Title IX report is made and a review and discussion of relevant student scenarios.
